What Students Are Saying:

I will forever be grateful for everything I learned from you. You’ve had such a positive impact on my life.
— Hannah, singer/songwriter
Thank you for everything! You are such an inspiring woman. I don’t take it for granted that you’re sharing your magic with me.

— Emilia, Aspiring Opera Singer
You are still the best voice teacher I have ever had.

You always said that I would be great at teaching music to children, and that is exactly what I do now!
— Nikki Pantaleo, Music Teacher at "Sing Explore Create"
You are a beautiful person and a miraculous teacher! You have taught me more in these past 8 weeks than I’ve learned in years with others. I have grown so confident in my voice, my artistry and myself as a person. Thank you so much!
— Olaf, Actor & Musical Theater Singer
I wouldn’t be where I am in my career without you, Diana. I wouldn’t have been able to persevere without your words in my ear. Your support really went a long way. There are a lot of people who are not supportive in the classical community, so it is easy to second guess yourself, lose confidence and start to feel afraid of putting yourself out there. The most important thing was the foundation of support that you gave me, but because I didn’t realize how rare your support was, I wasn’t prepared for the fact that there are not more Diana’s out there.

You knew me and believed in me. Having a teacher who doesn’t give up on you is so important, more than I can say. When I got to the conservatory, it was all about comparison, but when I was with you, Diana, it wasn’t about comparison at all. We don’t have the same voice, but you wanted me to sing with my voice not with your voice. You helped me discover the best potential in my voice without changing it.

You taught me by example. When I met you, I didn’t know anyone who made a living as a singer, which was my dream, so it was inspiring to meet you. From you, I also learned how to build good relationships and create a supportive environment for my artistic development. Everything you taught me about artistry and being an artist is always with me as I continue developing my singing career.
— Patricia, Professional Soloist
I just wanted to write you and just say THANK YOU again for such a wonderful experience in Vienna. I’m so thankful for the short time we had together, both in lessons and exploring the city, and only regret that we only had seven weeks to be there! I definitely feel that the technique you were teaching me is incredibly helpful!
— Jimmy, Candidate for a Bachelor of Music in Voice (Exchange student in Vienna)
(After a summer studying in Vienna) I am back in Hong Kong, and I am about to start my final year at the conservatory. I loved being your student, and I would love to come back to Vienna to have lessons with you again! You gave me so many new concepts, and they are really helpful! Thank you so much! I am learning some of the songs you suggested for me, and I love them. Many thanks!
— Theresa, Voice Student at the Hong Kong Conservatory
You are the best teacher I have ever had, in any subject.

What this country needs is more Diana Jacklins so that more people can experience the value of the arts. Thank you for all you taught me in my voice lessons and in your vocal institutes.
— Taylor, 18 year old Voice Student
I’m so happy I started taking voice lessons with you. I had a strong feeling you could help me, and you certainly have! Years ago, I took voice lessons, and after 5 lessons, the teacher told me he would not teach me any more because he thought I wasn’t good enough and didn’t work hard enough. It took me 20 years to try again, and I am so glad I did. Thank you for helping me find my voice and giving me the opportunity to learn such wonderful music. It’s something I have always wanted to do.
— Amateur Singer
I am very happy about how I sang in my recital! The thing that made me feel even happier was to hear all my friends saying how beautifully I sang and how they loved me. It would have never happened if not for you. You have been an amazing teacher and a mentor at the same time.
— Dominika, 21 year old Voice Student
Thank you for all that you are doing for my daughter. Singing gets her through difficult times and makes her feel so much better. Furthermore, she is developing so much self-confidence and poise, and I just love to see her development.
— Mother of 16 year old Voice Student
Thank you so much!!!!  My son really enjoyed the lesson and really wants to learn to sing with you. You make learning music so interesting and fun, and I know he is excited about working with you in the fall, as I am too!
— Mother of 14 year old
You have been such an important part of my son’s singing career. Thank you for all you have done for him.
— Mother of an Aspiring Young Artist
After I graduated from the conservatory, I tried many teachers in London and Vienna, but I wasn’t satisfied until I started working with you.
— Aspiring Young Artist
I don’t know what you do with my child in those lessons! I often drop her off at her lesson when she is feeling tired, moody and upset, but she comes out smiling from ear to ear and the happiest I’ve ever seen her!
— Mother of 15 year old Voice Student
I can’t believe the progress I have made with you in such a short time. I really had no idea this would be possible. Thank you.
— Amateur Singer
Studying with Diana has positively impacted every area of my life.
— Anna, 24 year old former Voice Major
Thank you for bringing joy into my life!
— Clara, Amateur Singer
I hope you get the Marian Anderson Award! You deserve it so much for all you do to spread the love and joy of music to young and old alike. I’ve said it before but I’m the luckiest person on the planet to have found you and have you as my voice teacher!!
— Claire, Singer
I’m already beginning to experience a lot more power in my voice thanks to our lessons, so I just want to say thank you!

— Natalia, Jazz Singer (after only 5 lessons)

A bit of wisdom offered from an experienced singer to young singers:

I didn’t start at 16 with a great singing teacher. If I had found a teacher like Diana at that age, maybe I would still be making my living in the church, or maybe I would have gone forward with opera and classical singing. Singing and making a career in singing is difficult enough, and if you have bad habits to overcome from bad teaching, it is MORE DIFFICULT. If I had had a teacher like Diana, I don’t know where I would have ended up, but at least I would have been singing correctly and healthily from the start.
— Adele, Professional Church Soloist

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.

The life so short, the craft so long to learn.

If I cannot fly, let me sing.
